Learn about the universities, organizations, municipalities, and other governing bodies that have partnered with MANTECH.
The MANTECH is committed to a multi-year sponsorship at the Nano and Micro Systems Lab at the University of Waterloo Institute of Nanotechnology. The MANTECH-sponsored lab will be manufacturing the main patented component of the PeCOD, improving existing technologies and developing new materials for the photo-electrochemical oxidation of organics. Our photo-electrochemical oxygen detector (PeCOD) technology utilizes thin-films, UV-excitation, and develop metamaterial solutions to improve the performance and accessibility of this critical aspect of water quality assessment.
We are thrilled to be working with Dr. Graham Gagnon and the team at Dalhousie University in their PeCOD® Analyzer water quality and treatment research. View the latest publications by Dr. Gagnon, Amina Stoddart, Shujie Fu and Bofu Li here.
MANTECH has partnered with IISD Experimental Lakes Area to optimize results and protect our environment at the world’s freshwater laboratory. In a natural laboratory comprised 58 small lakes, IISD-ELA is researching the impacts of climate change, agricultural runoff, water management, and more on freshwater. In December 2020, we joined IISD-ELA in a campaign to fund new equipment to further their research efforts. The IISD-ELA are now proud owners of a PeCOD, which is already in use for fieldwork, and a MT100. We are committed to joining IISD-ELA in their mission to address global freshwater issues and equip[ing their team with the tools to generate the highest quality results, in the shortest amount of time, with green methods.
We are proud to announce that in partnership with MANTECH, the University of Guelph has been received a NSERC Alliance Grant for research on PeCOD for soil and carbon applications. The project for the Development of Rapid Quantification of Soil Organic Carbon Pools via Photocatalytic Kinetics is being led by Hema Hemraj, Rafaek M. Santos and Yi Wai Chiang (view abstract here). Located in the same city of MANTECH’s head office, the University of Guelph is internationally renowned for its research, teaching and knowledge extension in the agricultural field.
