MANTECH Analyzers for Effective Soil Health Management
What is World Soil Day?
Held annually on December 5th since it was first designated by the UN General Assembly in 2014, World Soil Day (WSD) is an international day that focuses on the importance of soil and advocates for the sustainable management of soil resources.
This year’s theme, Caring for Soils: Measure, Monitor, Manage highlights the importance of gathering accurate soil data and information to effectively manage soil resources.
Soil data helps:
- Monitor and assess soil heath
- Empower farmers to optimize resources
- Guide climate change and mitigation strategies
- Support informed decision making
- Tailor sustainable soil health management practices
- Improve agricultural productivity and food security
Monitoring Soil Health With MANTECH Analyzers
At MANTECH, we understand that monitoring soil health can be challenging if a laboratory has many samples with multiple parameters to analyze. This is why MANTECH provides all-in-one soil quality analyzers for a variety of parameters such as pH, nitrate and neutralization potential to provide users with the soil health data the require. Available as a smaller benchtop or fully automated system, MANTECH’s soil quality analyzers can be configured in multiple ways to meet each laboratory’s individual requirements.
Soil Analyzer Features and Benefits
Intuitive software
All soil analyzers are controlled by MANTECH Pro software which was built for Windows 10 & 11 Pro OS, allowing auto-security updates without system downtime. Users can create runs, edit report templates, review historical data and more while the system is running.
Rigorous cleaning procedures
MANTECH’s IntelliRinse™ allows users to set up criteria in the system software to ensure probes are clean before proceeding to the next sample.
Durable probes
Stones and other items present in soil slurries could damage probes and affect analyses. MANTECH offers high quality electrodes that are protected from these elements meaning more accurate results and less probe damage over time.
Multiple probe options to meet large throughputs
Single, triple or quadra and more probe options are available. With additional probes, automated systems can perform multiple analyses in multiple samples cups simultaneously which reduces analysis time per sample.
Customizable racks
In addition to off-the-shelf racks, MANTECH offers custom racks so customers can continue utilizing their preferred sample vessels. A separate rack dedicated to calibration and quality checks can also be added to the system. This allows customers to capitalize the capacity of their sample rack.
Soil shaker options
For applications that require shaking, MANTECH offers sytems with shaker racks. The speed of shaking and duration of shaking can all be controlled from the software.
